Leadership in Community

The Black Women Educators’ League (BWEL) provides curated learning and development services, supports, and resources designed to cultivate and retain Black women leaders in education.

Leadership Development Programs

Through our fellowship programs, the BWEL Ascend Fellowship for emerging leaders and the BWEL Vanguard Fellowship for current leaders, we provide immersive development experiences that honor both professional growth and personal authenticity.

These fellowships blend leadership skill-building with identity affirmation, celebrating the unique perspectives Black women bring to educational leadership while building community and networks to support alumni throughout their careers.

Connected Community

BWEL is building a digital gathering space where Black women leaders can connect, share resources, and support each other's growth.

Through our workshops, resource sharing, and virtual events, members build meaningful relationships that extend beyond traditional professional networks. This is where questions find answers, challenges meet support, and isolated experiences transform into collective wisdom.

Meaningful Mentorship Opportunities

The heart of BWEL is our intentional cultivation of networks for mentorship, collaboration, and mutual support. These connections are nurtured through our programming and guided by our BWEL Brain Trust of experienced leaders who serve as advisors and mentors.
